COST Action CA24117 - Innate lymphoid cells – the European quest for innovative cancer prognosis and immunotherapy (ILCquest), led by Dr. Ivana Stojanović, principal research fellow from the Department of Immunology, successfully organized its first meeting at the Palace Hotel in Belgrade, 23-24 March, 2026.
ILCquest currently has 160 members from more than 30 countries. 89 members of the Action participated in the meeting, 65 of whom were present, while 24 members followed the meeting online.
The two-day meeting started with a Management Committee meeting, where prior activities were presented, and future plans of the ILCquest Action were discussed. The scientific part of the meeting included two plenary lectures, given by Dr. Joanna F. Neves from the United Kingdom and Dr. Giuseppe Sciume from Italy, as well as 24 oral presentations by Action members. Additionally, the discussion on phenotyping, isolation, and propagation of innate lymphoid cells (ILC), as well as their application in cancer prognosis and therapy, was conducted in the form of round tables of Working Groups.
This meeting was a key step in initiating the dissemination of various expertise between the Action members, as well as in establishing future collaborations.
