As part of the STRIMHealth project activities, in collaboration with the University of Lisbon, we invite you to participate in the Workshop on Drug Screening Method Development, which will take place on 22 and 23 April 2026 at the IBISS library from 10 to 16h.

The two-day workshop will be led by Dr. Marta Afonso and Dr. Joana Amaral from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon, with the support of Prof. Cecilia Rodrigues.

Main workshop topics include:

• Introduction to the drug discovery process
• Principles of drug discovery
• Examples of drug discovery for metabolic disease therapies
• High-throughput and medium-throughput drug discovery methodologies
• Practical demonstration of drug discovery

The program is intended for researchers, PhD students, early career researchers and students interested in translational biomedical research.

The working language is English, and participation requires prior registration.
