Certificate of gratitude for IBISS from BID "Josif Pančić"
The Biological Research Society "Josif Pančić" distributed a certificate of gratitude to the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" for active cooperation during the 45 years of the Society's existence.
Construction of BIO4 Kampus has started
Today in Belgrade, the construction of the BIO4 campus has commenced, with a total worth of 450 million euros. This multidisciplinary project integrates biomedicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and biodiversity. The campus is intended to accommodate faculties and scientific institutions, including IBISS.
Acknowledgment to IBISS from CPN for support and contribution to the work
The Center for the Promotion of Science awarded IBISS with recognition for its support and outstanding contribution to the work of the Center for the Promotion of Science in 2023. The awards were given at a ceremony held in the National Museum in Belgrade, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia.
Research Data Management
At the suggestion of a group of librarians, and with the support of the SAIGE project, a two-day workshop on Research Data Management (RDM) was held on December 21 and 22, 2023 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade.
The Environmental and Social Management Plan with the Report of Public consultation project IRIS
In accordance with the Environmental and Social Management Framework the World Bank and experts from the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, announce the Environmental and Social Management Plan with the Report on Public consultation, has been accepted for the project Genetic diversity maintenance and population dynamics in natural populations of endangered plant species: Flower color polymorphism in Iris pumila L. - IRIS.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with a scientific research center from Libya
The delegation of the National Research Center for Tropical and Transboundary Diseases, Zintan, Libya, headed by the director prof. Dr. Abdulwahab Kammon, visited IBISS this week.
IBISS visiting Wuhan
The Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM) and Wuhan Institute of Industrial Innovation and Development (WHIIID) were a sponsor at the Third Session of the Donghu Scientific Symposium - International Seminar on Natural Products and New Drug Discovery, which was held on December 3, 2023, in Wuhan, China.
Visit to the Hubei University of Technology
At the invitation of the Hubei University of Technology (HUT), Wuhan, China, Dr. Danijela Maksimović Ivanić, Dr. Sanja Mijatović and Dr. Tamara Saksida held lectures (New generation of fullerene derivative in the reprogramming of melanoma cells; Cell death paradox in cancer progression and therapy failure; Ethyl pyruvate and autoimmune diseases) and on that occasion were appointed as visiting professors of this university.
