The EU-financed project ’Establishment of NATURA 2000 network’ provides technical assistance to the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism (MoSDT) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). It’s purpose is to carry out necessary activities to start with laying foundations for the designation of the future Natura 2000 network. Project implementation started on 26 April 2016 and will last for 3 years. Project activities are grouped in 3 main components; all three are interconnected and are implemented according to the requirements of the EU Birds and Habitats Directives.
