Research into the potential antibacterial and antifungal effect of LIGNAN PARTICLES, in order to realize the project called "Lignan nanoparticle synthesis for biomedical applications (LigNano)", showed that the examined samples had no antibacterial activity against the tested bacterial strains. Antifungal activity was only recorded for one sample, that of the yeast-like form of the fungus.
