The exhibit ECO-repellent received a Special Recognition for an exhibit that contributes to the development of technics awarded at the 67th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements, held on May 20-23, 2025 in Belgrade. The exhibit is the result of cooperation between the TMF and IBISS within the Proof of Concept project “NatuRep” of the Science Fund (grant 12929) and the IBISS Proof of Concept project “THYM-PROTECT” supported by the SAIGE project.

ECO-repellent represents the latest achievement in the fight against insect pests in storages of legume and cereal seeds, as it is produced using environmentally friendly technology without the use of organic solvents and the generation of wastewater. It is also a biodegradable and biocompatible repellent, insecticide, and seed germination and growth biostimulator. It is based on a biocompatible and biodegradable polymer and natural bioactive components, which are released in a controlled manner over a long period of time, thus ensuring extended seed protection in storage.
