As part of the continuous activities of the China-Serbia "Belt and Road" Joint Laboratory for Natural Products and Drug Discovery, a meeting was held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", during which the work carried out by the Joint Laboratory to date was presented to the members of the Academic Committee.

The report on the work of the Joint Laboratory and key achievements was presented by prof. Ye Yang, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), as well as research activities and results achieved through joint collaboration since the establishment of the laboratory.

In addition to reviewing the results so far, prof. Ye presented strategic plans and priorities for the next period, including future directions of research, strengthening of bilateral cooperation and further integration of joint scientific activities.

The meeting was attended by prof. Ye Yang, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Academician Dr. Miodrag Čolić, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), Academician prof. Dr. Nebojša Lalić, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SANU), Academician prof. Dr. Tanja Ćirković Veličković, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, as well as Dr. Mirjana Mihailović, Dr. Momir Paunović and Dr. Marina Soković from the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", University of Belgrade.
