The international patent application of the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, "WO 2026/010517- BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE BEADS OF CELLULOSE ACETATE AND THYMOL, PROCESS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION, THEIR USE AND APPLICATION PROCESS", has been published on 08th January 2026.

The inventors from IBISS participating in this patent are: Dr. Jelica Lazarević from the Department of Insect Physiology and Biochemistry, Dr. Dušica Ćalić from the Department of Plant Physiology, as well as Dr. Ana Vuleta, Dr. Sanja Manitašević Jovanović, Katarina Hočevar and Dr. Darka Šešlija Jovanović from the Department of Evolutionary Biology.

Dr. Stoja Milovanović, Dr. Ivana Lukić and Dr. Jelena Pajnik from the Faculty of Technology of the University of Belgrade also participated in the patent.
