In the period from March 23 to 28, 2026, the associates of the Institute, Dr. Mirjana Mihailović, Dr. Marina Soković, Dr. Dejan Stojković, Dr. Danijela Mišić, Dr. Jelena Božunović, Dr. Uroš Gašić and Nađa Hadžimurtović, visited the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM) on the occasion of official meetings within the framework of Joint Laboratory and the strategic bilateral project with the P.R. of China (Multiculti). During the stay, the delegation also visited other institutions and companies.
During the visit to SIMM, two important meetings were held. The first meeting dedicated to the strategic bilateral project with the P.R. of China (Multiculti project) - Comparative Analysis of High-Quality Germplasm Resources in China and Serbia: A Study on the Efficacy Components of Traditional Herbal Medicine Using Spatiotemporal Multidimensional Technology, held on March 25, during which the next steps and research directions were defined, including the activities of exchange students currently staying at SIMM.
On March 26, a closed meeting dedicated to the evaluation of the work of the China-Serbia Joint Laboratory for Natural Products and Drug Discovery was held by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, during which the results and activities of the laboratory so far were presented. In parallel with the meeting, a shorter scientific seminar was held where the results of the Chinese students' research were presented.
During their stay in Zhejiang Province, the delegation visited Zhejiang Tianquan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and the Mushroom Museum in Changshan County, where the possibilities of future cooperation were discussed, with a special focus on the exchange of students and knowledge in the field of mushroom cultivation. A visit to Hangzhou Chengyi Intelligent Control Technology Co., Ltd. was then organized in Hangzhou, with the participation of representatives of Shanghai Hanxiang Education Technology Co., Ltd., where their activities were presented and open discussions were held on the potential for joint work and knowledge exchange in the field of modern technologies.
