To mark IBISS Day and celebrate the 79th anniversary of the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, a new playlist entitled “Featured Papers” has been published on the Institute’s official YouTube channel.

As part of the AerPotato project activities, in cooperation with the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, a workshop for students entitled "Aeroponics - Modern Technology for the Production of Virus-Free Potato Minitubers" was held on June 1, 2026.

Digital publication "The Cell Writes with the Heart" from the project of science promotion and popularisation "Cell for Everyone: Evolution & the Magical World of Hormones," in realization of the team from the Department of Cytology, IBISS, and funded by the Center for the Promotion of Science.

On Friday, May 29, 2026, 79 years of work and the existence of the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković" was celebrated.

STRIMHealth team members Dr. Biljana Bursać and Dr. Ana Teofilović attended the 33rd European Congress on Obesity in Istanbul and presented the results obtained within the STRIMHealth project.

Yesterday, a workshop for new associates was held at the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, focusing on the institutional repository RADaR and the accompanying Author Projects Publications (APP) application.

STRIMHealth expert visit at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed ULisboa), hosted by the Cell Function and Therapeutic Targeting group led by Prof. Cecília Rodrigues, was successfully completed.

Dr. Danijela Vojnović-Milutinović participated in the European Congress of Endocrinology (ECE2026), held in Prague from 8 to 13 May 2026, where she presented STRIMHealth-related research results entitled "Exploring MASLD-associated features in women with PCOS: a subset analysis from a broader gut microbiota-focused study".

Probiotic LiverDophilus® won the "STEP INTO THE FUTURE" Grand Award for the most successful exhibit at the 68th International Fair of Technology and Technical Achievements.

Representatives of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) team of the Institute for Biological Research “Siniša Stanković”, Dr. Milica Pešić, Dr. Dušica Ćalić, Dr. Nataša Radulović, and Dr. Danijela Maksimović-Ivanić, participated in the workshop “Intellectual Property as a Business Asset”, held on May 12 at the European House in Belgrade.
