On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Prof. Miroslav Simić, one of the founders of immunological research in our country, a meeting was held at the Institute about the development of immunology at IBISS, the Faculty of Medicine, as well as within the Society of Immunologists of Serbia.
The emphasis was on the immense contribution made by Prof. Simić contributed to the development of immunology in Serbia and Yugoslavia. The meeting ended with the awarding of a scholarship from the foundation of Prof. Miroslava Simića, which is awarded to young immunologists for training abroad.
